Dashboard and sessions

What your server is doing right now.

  1. Server status

Up, Unreachable from here, or Needs attention, with product, version and an as-of time on every reading.

  2. Streams at a glance

How many devices are streaming, transcoding and connected, refreshed about every 10 seconds while open, plus pull to refresh.

  3. Tasks and library

Admin accounts see running scheduled tasks with progress; every account sees movie, series and episode counts.

  4. Now playing

The Sessions tab lists playing and idle devices, with a Direct Play, Direct Stream or Transcode label on each stream.

  5. Why it's transcoding

Session detail explains the transcode reason in plain language, such as video codec not supported by the player.

  6. Session detail

Progress, client, device and address for every stream, plus bitrate, resolution, video and audio codecs and hardware acceleration when the server is transcoding it.

Watch stats

Built on the Playback Reporting plugin, with a fallback when it's missing.

  1. Plays and hours per day

With the Playback Reporting plugin, Stats shows plays per day, hours per day and the direct play versus transcode split over 7 or 30 days.

  2. Top users and top content

Your top users, top 5 shows and top 5 movies over the selected window.

  3. Activity log

Admin accounts can read the server activity log, with errors highlighted.

  4. No plugin yet?

FinDeck shows the activity it observed and walks you through installing the free plugin. Pull to refresh on the Stats tab and it detects the plugin.

Alerts, widget and servers

Pro: everything you need once your own server is connected.

  1. Three alerts per serverPro

Server unreachable (on by default), new session and transcode started. A server on a Tailscale address, or a home-network server while you are on cellular data, shows Unreachable from here instead of alerting. On another Wi-Fi network, a home-only server can still alert.

  2. Background checksPro

Alerts and the widget stay current when iOS allows a background check, at most every 15 minutes and often a few times a day.

  3. Home Screen widgetPro

Small and medium widgets with server status and active streams; medium adds transcodes and the plays FinDeck has seen today.

  4. As many servers as you likePro

Add every Jellyfin server you run and switch between them in Settings.

  5. Quick Connect sign-inPro

Sign in with Quick Connect or your user name and password. FinDeck keeps the server's access token, never your password.

Demo and privacy

Try it first. Keep your data.

  1. Full demo

Try the full demo free, with every screen filled with sample data and no account needed.

  2. Private by design

Read-only, talks only to your servers, keeps sign-in tokens in the iOS Keychain. Data Not Collected.

Pricing

Try every screen in the demo. Pay once to connect.

No subscription. No ads. FinDeck Pro is a one-time $14.99 unlock; the demo costs nothing.

Good to know

  • iPhone only, iOS 17 or later, portrait.
  • Plain http works only for local network addresses; a public hostname needs https. FinDeck can't accept a self-signed certificate.
  • Full stats need an admin account and the Playback Reporting plugin, which keeps 3 months of history by default. Observed activity resets when the app restarts.
  • If Pro is refunded, saved servers are kept and live data pauses until Pro is active again.

Coming soon

FinDeck is heading to the App Store.

Drop a line and I'll tell you the day it lands.

FinDeck is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Jellyfin project. The Jellyfin name is used only to say which servers the app works with.
