Forgehaven Labs · FeederRank · iOS · for ADS-B feeder operators

You feed the network. Now watch it notice.

FeederRank is the iPhone dashboard for ADS-B feeder operators. Paste your receiver UUID and see your rig the way airplanes.live, adsb.fi, and adsb.lol see it: message rate, positions, MLAT health, and an estimated standing, live, side by side, every 60 seconds.

FeederRank dashboard with live aggregator cards showing score rings and message-rate sparklines

The at-a-glance layer

Your antenna already earns these numbers.

You just couldn't see them. Feeder stats live on three different websites, keyed by a UUID you keep pasting into browser tabs. FeederRank pulls them onto one screen, politely, straight from each aggregator's public API. No middleman server, no login, nothing between you and your data.

What it does

The other side of your feed, glanceable.

  • Live feeder cards

Message rate, position rate, cumulative positions, MLAT peers and sync, RTT, and per-receiver breakdowns. Online state per aggregator, refreshed every 60 seconds.

  • estimated, and says so

    The FeederRank Score

An estimated standing against the network average, labeled as an estimate everywhere it appears. No invented ranks, ever.

  • Compare table (Pro)

The same feeder across every aggregator, metric by metric. Finally settle whether adsb.fi really sees you better than adsb.lol does.

  • Local receiver panel

Point the app at your own readsb or tar1090 box for the numbers only your receiver knows, including maximum coverage range. That traffic never leaves your LAN.

  • Offline alerts (Pro)

A local notification when an aggregator stops hearing your feeder, and another when it recovers. Edge-triggered, so no alert storms. Checks run while the app is open.

  • No account, no backend

Your stats come straight from the aggregators' public APIs and your own receiver. No analytics, no tracking, nothing of yours passes through our servers, because there are none.

On your phone

Built for people who check feeder stats more often than the weather.

Who it's for

For the people who built the antenna.

  • Multi-aggregator feeders

You feed airplanes.live, adsb.fi, and adsb.lol from one rig. See all three side by side instead of juggling three stats pages.

  • Gain tuners

You tweak the SDR gain and want to see what changed. The local receiver panel and the 12-hour rate charts show the effect, including max coverage range.

  • Standing checkers

You want to know how your feeder stacks up. The score gives you an honest estimate against the network average, never a made-up official rank.

  • Uptime worriers

The Pi rebooted, the feed died, and you found out days later. Feeder-offline alerts make that the last time.

Pricing

One price. Once.

The core of the app is free forever: full live stats for one feeder on one aggregator. Pro widens the view. It's a single purchase, because your feeder is a hobby, not a landlord.

FAQ

Operator questions, answered.

Where does my data come from?

Straight from each aggregator's public, no-login stats API, requested by your phone with an identifying User-Agent and gentle 60-second refreshes. FeederRank has no backend; nothing about you or your feeder passes through our servers, because there are none.

Is the score an official rank?

No. Aggregators do not publish official ranks, so FeederRank computes an estimated standing against the network average and labels it that way everywhere. airplanes.live publishes no global stats at all, so its card shows raw stats and no score rather than a made-up number.

Why does adsb.lol say "away from home"?

adsb.lol's public lookup is IP-based: your phone must share your feeder's public IP (your home network) for per-feeder stats to appear there. The other aggregators use your UUID and work from anywhere.

Is FeederRank affiliated with the aggregators?

No. FeederRank is an independent companion app for feeder operators. It shows you your own feeder's statistics and links out to each aggregator's site. We're grateful they publish open APIs, and the app is deliberately polite to them.

What about FlightAware, FR24, RadarBox?

Version 1 integrates aggregators with clean public JSON stats endpoints. Services that need account tokens or scraping are on the maybe-list; tell support which one you want most.

Can I try it without a feeder?

Yes. Demo mode replays real captured API responses through the whole app, clearly badged as demo data, so you can kick the tires before you rack the SDR.
